First qualifying stage for the Vendée Globe 2024, the “Arctic Vendée” will leave Les Sables D’Olonne on June 12, 2022.
The skippers will depart from the famous Vendée Globe pontoon in Port Olona, pass out the legendary Channel and take the Start off Les Sables d’Olonne. They will set off towards the Arctic Circle, pass Iceland, before returning to Les Sables d’Olonne. The 3,500 nautical miles race represents an extreme adventure on a course that is both innovative and very demanding.
The exciting race format is more extreme than ever and is also an opportunity for the organizers to create a popular event in Les Sables d’Olonne.
The festivities will begin on Friday June 10, with a parade from the 2020 Vendée Globe’s skippers.
